My dossier is packaged up and being sent to Haiti!! Next week more people I know will be there, so I should have some more pics!

Progress...

Today I received an email that my dossier has completed the legalization stage!  I believe it will be sent to Haiti early next week and the true process of joining my dossier and Isnaika's dossier begins!  I'm still understanding what the steps are at each point.  I'll post more as I learn it.

Just as a side note...

I'm still deciding what I'll name her.  I'll probably keep Isnaika as her middle name to keep a link to her heritage, but perhaps give her a new first name.

I've asked about meeting her biological mother.  It may happen in October.  I'd like to meet her and take pictures of her.  I think Isnaika would like to know what her biological mother looked like.  Hopefully I can get a name of her father as well in that meeting and maybe a story about him.  I just want to try my best so if someday Isnaika wants to know more, she'll have at least some information available to her instead of none at all.

Which is more exciting??

I don't know which is more exciting at this point:  the fact that I purchased tickets and WILL GET TO MEET ISNAIKA in May!!!  OR the fact that I just got a new set of pictures!!  I'm thinking she was about 3 months old in this set of pictures.

So my trip with my agency isn't until October, but I asked if I could make an extra trip and decided to go in May.  I'm really excited to go and meet her for the first time and see the orphanage.  I'm also looking forward to taking my friend Bertony to the orphanage and having him meet the people there.  I'd like him to go and visit frequently to get pictures and check on things.    The orphanage will be sending me monthly pictures from now on and I found a great group of people on Facebook who are adopting from the same orphanage.  Someone goes down every month to see a child so the deal is that when you go, you take pictures and send it back to the parents in the States... and when they go, the'll do the same for you.  Great deal!
